Kids are masters at playing. When they are bored, their parents tell them to “go play.” It’s a normal and expected behavior.
But we grow up and something happens. We become bound to our never-ending to-do lists. Finding time to play seems irresponsible…it is something for kids, not for adults.
Rather than complaining about the roads or the weather, go outside and make snow angels and build a snowman. If it is too cold for that, stay inside and play board games. I LOVED playing board games when I was a kid, but nobody ever seems to want to play them as adults. I’m not sure why. They are still fun.
Stay inside or go outside, but do something that serves no purpose to have fun. Isn’t this season supposed to be about joy?
